Vietnam: Hanoi. Thailand: Koh Chang, Koh Wai, Koh Mak, Koh Rang, Koh Kut, Koh Yak . 01.10.11
It’s time for Børre’s working days in Asia again, and this time we all decided to go together.
Our first stop is Hanoi (Vietnam):
Since we’ve been here before we have no big plans, just do some shopping for Børres shop and relax (not really possible in this city), eat delicious food (very easy!) and just have a good time. The shopping was quite easy, lot’s of lovely stuff to buy! And staying at a really cheap and convenient hotel meant we didn’t need to walk much to find whatever we wanted! Eating delicious food is really no problem since they serve it practically on every corner! The only “problem” in Hanoi is the traffic!! Those of you that have been there know what we’re talking about! The rest: you really haven’t got a clue before you see it! And with a baby pram as well….I say no more…
Still it’s great to be back in Vietnam again, and we hope it’s not the last time!
After some days in busy Hanoi it was time for Thailand (again!), and since Børre had a week of work in Bangkok, we said goodbye at the airport as Børre went in to Bangkok and the girls headed straight to the amazing KC Grande resort and spa in Koh Chang.
Koh Chang (Thailand):
Traveling in Thailand is so easy! We bought “bus” tickets at the airport, and a guy walked us to the car, we were 6 pax total and they drove us to the door of our hotel. The drive was about 6 hours, including 1 hour ferry. Even with a soon to be two year old there was no stress!
We found a great deal online, and stayed in a cute bungalow straight on the beach! The beach is called White sand beach, and this area is one of the most developed on Koh Chang. Lots of hotels, bungalows, restaurants and small shops.
Here the girls had a great week with swimming and fun, but it was really nice when Børre came to join us!
We left the amazing resort and moved to a different, but also great resort called Koh Chang Kacha Resort. Here we had a wonderful week just relaxing, having fun, shopping and swimming. Samoa really loved the waterslide in the huge pool!
One of the days we went for a boat trip to some small islands for snorkeling (Koh Wai, Koh Mak, Koh Rang, Koh Kut, Koh Yak). A great trip with nice snorkeling and some really good beaches!
It’s time to go home again, but we have had a great family holiday and also did some work. Great combo!
